Lydia Davis is the 2013 winner of the Man Booker International Prize, a biennial literary award that is not bound by any geographical considerations, unlike the more famous Man Booker Prize. A translator, essayist, and novel writer, she is best known for a literary format that is perhaps tailor-made for Twitter.
