Q.980

Le Petit Robert is a popular French dictionary that is more open to admitting popular words than the keepers of the official French language. The latest edition made news for its inclusion of the (admittedly tongue-in-cheek) word 'galocher'.

The word is a derivation of the word 'galoche' ("ice-skating boot"); the meaning has nothing (at least literally) to do with sport, but is associated with something "French". So what does this word stand for?
