But before that, the company is administering what it calls a "sun-rise" period. During this fifty day duration, other companies and well-known people who do not want to be associated with this TLD can request that no domain name with their names be sold. There is a process that will look at the validity of such requests and if accepted, a fee is taken from the requester.
