Buildings in New Delhi, especially government buildings, are particularly plagued by monkeys who are known to run amok. To counter them, langur monkeys have been trained to scare them away and have been used for many years. The practice has been somewhat officially sanctioned, but after protests by environmental activists, this has been put an end to.
