The Pritzker Prize is the highest award in architecture. 2014's award went to the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, who is especially known for his innovative use of materials and his work on building humane structures for people who find themselves in humanitarian crises.

One of his best known creations was a replacement building of a church in Kobe, Japan in 1995 which had been destroyed in that year's earthquake. This was largely made of tubes which used what unusual material?
