Rana Bhagwandas, 72 years old, passed away on Feb 23, 2015. He was the former acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He studied law and carried post-grad degree in Islamic Studies. He was appointed judge in 1967.
He is only the second addition to this very unique list of people to head the Supreme Court. First is Alvin Robert Cornelius.
