Pakistan SC ordered adoption of Urdu as official languageWith this order, Urdu will be used as an official language at the government offices of Pakistan. The petitioner Advocate Kokab Iqbal wanted promotion and implementation of the national language. The Court also ruled that under the 1973 Constitution it is must to adopt Urdu as official language.
