South Asian Games 2016The highly endangered one-horned rhinoceros is also the state animal of Assam. Tikhor incidentally is a popular character in Assamese folk literature, as well. The anthem for the Games was chosen to be a famous Assamese song, "Ei Prithibi Ek Krirangan" (The world is a playground) by Bhupen Hazarika.
