Lytro is a startup that began selling its Lytro brand of cameras in the US in 2011 and was instantly voted as one of the
innovations of the year by many. It was founded by Ren Ng, who is applying ideas from his doctoral thesis that also had won him
an ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award.
Lytro and companies like it are selling "plenoptic cameras" also known as "light field cameras". What photography basic do these
