Had it not ended in the Rapids, it would have gone on to a set of Blitzs. If the Blitzs too were inconclusive, then Armageddon would have resulted. Don't worry, for even if Armageddon didn't end one way or another, things would go all Black.

The 2012 World Chess Championships, won by V. Anand beating Boris Gelfand. Since the 12 games of classical chess ended without a winner, they played matches in the Rapid (fast chess) format. Had Anand not won that, they would have played the even faster format of Blitz. Armageddon (a single game of about 5 minutes) was next. Black would have been declared winner if this finished in a draw.
